You have no idea how excited I am. We have an idea for the venue that could probably work. I’ll fill you all in more during Christmas break when I have more time to think about non-work stuff. Also, make sure Ohmuffins, GWALP, and World-Shaker keep their cell phones nearby with the ringer on.

Tumblr Fashion Director Leaving Company

You started a great discussion about Tumblr’s decisions, and we’d like to ask a follow-up.  Tumblr Fashion Director Rich Tong is leaving the company. Reports from several members of the fashion industry have indicated that Tumblr...

Had to get a “talking-to” by the asst. principal today because I am apparently not being proactive enough with parent communication (long story, and I don’t think I’m in the wrong) 2. Tons of meetings scheduled for the rest of the week - 1 AIP, 2 IEPs, 1 team meeting with the principal. Yes,… Tomorrow will be much better.  I will be sending many good vibes your way.

Wellness Wednesday Tip
Buy 2 reusable water bottles with filters like Bobble. I keep one in the fridge in the morning, and one in my classroom.  I switch at lunch.   I stay hydrated, I don’t spend lots of money on water bottles, and I make less waste.

levimoonflower: lhuddles: What are y’all’s thoughts on this? Research shows that pay-for-performance in teaching doesn’t work. There aren’t measurable gains in student performance when teachers are paid more. Yet in some districts (I think an urban study in Chicago is one of them), teachers are paid as much as $10k… What frustrates me about pay for performance is that only so many teachers...
