I love stickers and using them to track progress.  I think this a cute idea that the kids would love and could be a real simple home-school communication idea!

You could help reinforce knowing Left/Right by having them tell you the word closest to their right or left thumb.

There are two free printable sheets featuring Dolch words available from the Activity Mom.
Print on magnetic paper or print on card stock and rubber cement them to a magnetic sheet (available at craft stores such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc.). Then cut them out with scissors. Use cookie sheets to stick them too.

I like these games because many of them read the words to the kids.  When we began this game, I left the volume on, but as the kids learned the words I turned the volume off and had them read the word to the class as we played.  Also, it was a great opportunity to develop teamwork and good sportsmanship.
